Biolase Announces Update of WaterLase iPlus 2.0 Dental Laser
Irvine, Calif.-based Biolase has announced an update of its WaterLase iPlus 2.0 dental laser to provide dentists a clinical protocol and application to assist in the management of peri-implantitis.
The condition, an inflammatory process that affects the soft and hard tissues surrounding dental implants, is a growing problem, according to Biolase President and CEO Harold C. Flynn, Jr.
The laser features the minimally invasive repair implant protocol, as well as easy access to the implant surface, a closed flap protocol that can be used for early peri-implantitis and the ability to treat site-specific or whole-mouth cases.
