The European Commission has released an updated guideline on pharmaceutical excipients.

The guideline provides a list of excipients which should be stated on the label and outlines the information for those which must appear on the package leaflet. It does not apply to excipients when they are used as active substances.

The guideline is open for public comment until May 22, 2017.
