Enzi Presses FDA on Succession Planning, Leadership Turnover
Sen. Mike Enzi (R-Wyo.) asked the FDA to clarify an agency report about hiring and retention with more details on succession policies.
Enzi is a member of the Senate’s Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee — which has a leading role in FDA oversight — as well as the powerful finance and budget panels.
In a letter to Commissioner Scott Gottlieb, Enzi asked if the agency has a succession plan in place, and, if so, when it and how often it was implemented — and the last time it was updated.
