Exogenesis announced that its Exogenesis Surgical Mask successfully trapped and deactivated COVID-19 particles in simulated real-world situations in a series of challenge studies.

According to the company, the surgical mask met the studies’ primary endpoints, suggesting it provides more than 98 percent deactivation upon contact and more than 98 percent inhibition of viral transmission through the mask.

The mask is specifically designed to protect healthcare workers and patients undergoing medical and surgical procedures.
