Becton, Dickinson (BD) has received the FDA’s emergency use authorization for its BD Veritor at-home COVID-19 test.

BD says it initially plans to market the device to businesses, schools and governments looking to provide a self-testing option for employees or students.

The rapid antigen test uses a nasal swab and a smartphone app designed by Scanwell Health to generate test results in 15 minutes.
