India to Resume Exports of COVID-19 Vaccines Next Month

India plans to restart COVID-19 vaccine exports next month, after pausing shipments in April as the country dealt with a surge of coronavirus infections.
Home of the Serum Institute, the world’s largest manufacturer of vaccines, India has projected that it will manufacture more than 1 billion doses during the remainder of the year.
The resumption of vaccine exports will help the country fulfil its commitments to the COVAX global vaccine-sharing initiative, but it is unclear how many doses will go to the program.
