FDA Invites Comments on COVID-19 Guidances
The FDA is inviting public comments on two new guidance documents related to the COVID-19 pandemic that the agency issued without going through the normal procedure for gathering public input.
In March 2020, the FDA announced that it planned to issue certain guidances during the public health emergency without prior public comment, but that they would remain subject to comment in accordance with the agency’s good guidance practices.
Comments on the newly released guidances, titled “Investigational COVID-19 Convalescent Plasma” and “COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Policy on COVID-19-Related Sanitation Tunnel,” may be submitted at any time, the agency said.
