Researchers at the Mayo Clinic have found that implantable cardiac defibrillators (ICDs) contribute to a lower incidence of ventricular fibrillation (VF) related out-of-hospital cardiac arrests, according to a study published in the September issue of Heart Rhythm, the journal of the Heart Rhythm Society.
