Shanghai Worldbest Unit Sued by U.S. Consumers for Price Control
Shanghai Worldbest Pharmaceuticals said its unit, Jiangsu Jiangshan Pharmaceutical, and five other Chinese companies have been sued in the U.S. for unfair trading practices. Shanghai Worldbest said consumer representative Dennis Audette filed a lawsuit with a high court in Massachusetts charging that four Chinese vitamin producers, including Jiangsu Jiangshan and two other party-related firms, had colluded to control prices of vitamin C exports to the U.S. and other countries since December 2001.
