Congress Passes, President Signs MDUFMA Act

The Medical Device User Fee and Stabilization Act of 2005 (MDUFSA) was unanimously passed by both houses in Congress last month, and on Aug. 1 it was signed by President Bush into law — a move medical device industry advocates say will help smaller medical device companies better afford the costs associated with submitting new devices to the FDA for review and approval.
