FDA GIVES VIDACARE MORE FLEXIBILITY IN USING MEDICAL DEVICE
The FDA has approved Vidacare's intraosseous medical device, the EZ-IO, to be
used in cases where access is made through a patient's forearm known
as the humeral head area of the body. This gives emergency personnel an insertion
site above the diaphragm and gives them more flexibility for rapid vascular
access in trauma patients. Previously, the device was only approved for access
through a patient's leg.
